It's easy for the Staff at Excellence In Learning to say that Accelerate University is a great program that is a wise choice for degree completion. But it means so much more when you have a chance to hear from one of our clients about what they have experienced personally. So, we asked Tyler to share his experience in the Accelerate University Program with you. See what you think!
What did you think about the Accelerate University Program when you first heard about it?
I was all for the AU Program. Spending another four years in school and spending tens of thousands of dollars I didn't have was not appealing to me. I was very excited for the opportunity to receive my degree in under half the time and at a fraction of the cost. I knew though, that it would take a lot of self discipline and by no means would it be a walk in the park.
How does it feel to hit this milestone--half way through your degree?
It's a breathe of fresh air to hit the half way point. I have accomplished so much in such a short time. Each step has given me momentum as I continue to pursue my degree. I am very excited to take on the last half and complete the AU Program!
What has participation in the Accelerate University Program meant for you so far?
The AU Program has given me unique skills in studying, note taking and reading. They are skills that I use outside the classroom setting and will continue to use well after I receive my degree. This program has given me the opportunity to take full ownership my education at my own pace. It has also opened many other doors for me that I wouldn't have if I had taken the traditional route. While doing AU, I have been able to work a full time job (at a marketing firm, building his resume and real world experience) , participate in ministry leadership and pursue various hobbies.
What encouragement do you have for fellow AU students?
Keep going! It can be difficult at times to continue studying and pursuing your education, but it is so worth it. Put in the time and hard work now. Though it can be grinding at times, in the end you'll be happy you did it. You will put yourself so far ahead in life.
What encouragement do you have for those considering the AU Program?
Don't trick yourself into thinking that this Program is a shortcut past hard work and discipline. It's not. It is, however, an opportunity for you to take responsibility for your education and develop disciplines that will greatly benefit you the rest of your life. The staff at AU will equip you with the tools and skills you need to succeed. You won't be alone. They will work with and encourage you along the way as you experience success and when you struggle. Commit to the AU Program and see it through. You will benefit in more than just completing college early.
Thanks Tyler! To find out more about how the AU Program could work for you:
